Jesus Christ, The Son of God

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  [John 3:16]

Who is Jesus?

When God created Adam, He created him in His image: without blemish or stain and gave him dominion over the Earth. Satan who rebelled against God hated Adam and sought to destroy God’s beautiful creation. When Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden he became separated from God. God is holy and dwells in holiness and cannot countenance sin. This is why Adam had to leave Eden.

All men are fallen
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. [Romans 3:23]

You might argue that you have lived a ‘good’ life and therefore haven’t sinned. Unfortunately, whether we agree or not we all share one common ancestor – Adam. When he fell it meant that sin was passed on down the generations even until this day. Modern science even seems to buttress this point with the fact that all mankind shares a similar DNA. Sin brought about a corruption in our physical bodies. All diseases mankind suffers is as a result of this corruption. However, more ominously is the price of sin – death! This is not just a physical death but also a spiritual death.

In order to restore man, the seed of Adam to that state of divine communion a glorious sacrifice had to be made. It is for this reason that Jesus came to Earth and was crucified at Calvary’s cross. That when He is lifted up, all men will be drawn back to God our Father. Jesus had to die for us to be restored. Without that sinless blood sacrifice we would continue to be bound, broken and tormented by satan and his cohorts who hate man – the apple of God’s eye.

Hallelujah!! The blood of Jesus has redeemed ALL mankind from the curse of sin and death. Yes, whoever believes on the name of Jesus Christ will not “die” but have everlasting life!

Good news of the salvation which comes by faith through Jesus Christ

16 So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.
17 And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written:

18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the broken-hearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”
20 Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him.
21 And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”
[Luke 4:16-21]

The main reason Jesus came to the Earth was to die for our sins so that the perfect holy communion with God our Father will be restored. He also came that we might have victory in all spheres of our lives on Earth.
